An insatiable thirst for exploring this planet has led me to create a lifestyle around my passions and in doing so, hopefully inspire others to do the same! Here on my blog you’re going to come across a few recurring themes. The big ones will be Adventure Travel, Photography and Motivation/Lifestyle Design.
Why the name Where’s Pablo?
It started out as a joke actually. I was always leaving or getting back from somewhere so I decided to start a personal blog to keep friends and family informed about Where is Pablo?
Over time my readers expanded and now mostly consist of other curious spirits who are traveling, wanting to travel or seeking to pursue their passions : )
What you can expect
A couple of years ago I had a failed sense of direction. I was still trying to convince myself that I needed to go back and get my college degree. (It would have been my third time going back) I was trying to convince myself that a 9-5 with 2 weeks paid vacation was going to keep me happy.
I saw everybody else progressing towards that same lifestyle and assumed that was what I was meant to do too! NO! I’m here to say that is not the lifestyle for everybody!
Nothing against people that enjoy it or want it, but for me that’s not going to keep a smile on my face.
To start off, here are some posts throughout the life of this blog that have reflected my thoughts and steered me towards the path I’m on now.
Encountering Happiness – An early post diving into an old journal entry about a man I met in Mexico. It was the simple things that kept him happy and I wanted to emulate that.
My Perfect Day – Inspired to write what my ideal day would look like, I posted this to keep a vision in my head of what I’m working towards and the life I want.
My First Solo Backpacking Trip – This was the trip that did it for me. It was my first time completely on my own and when I realized that I wanted to have more experiences like it and motivate others to get out and do something!
Why I Travel – An introspective look at what keeps me traveling.
Adventure Travel and Tips
Like I mentionedearlier, adventure travel is more my style. I enjoy time on the beach with a cold beer in my hand as much as the next person, but if I’m not on my way to doing something active, eventually I get super antsy.
Here are a few posts to show you more of how and what I do when I travel.
Traveling with a Longboard – One of my favorite forms of transportation. Not only is it a fun and good workout but it throws a different perspective to the mix. Check out how.
Ultimate Guide to Cheap or Free Accommodation – A hefty guide on ways to save and travel. Tips for newbies and experts.
Eating Shit Boarding down a Volcano – What’s an adventure blog without adventure? This post covers my mishap Volcano Boarding in Nicaragua.
Motivation and Lifestyle Design
Tim Ferris first coined the term Lifestyle Design in his book titled, Four Hour Workweek. Essentially, lifestyle design is creating a life that is conducive to your interests and passions. A lifestyle that enables you to have fun and work without feeling like typical labor.
I’ve been finding myself steadily blogging more and more about creating this lifestyle and trying to motivate others to pursue the same thing. If you’re passionate about something, chase it. If you haven’t found that thing that makes you tick, keep looking!
Why Nice Guys Finish Last – A post discussing why nice guys finish last and how the term “nice” is wrongly applied.
You’ve Got Something None of Us Have – Do you have passion inside of you, a gut feeling that you need to be doing something else? A post about why you need to follow through with that feeling and how by chasing it, you liberate others to do the same.
What Do You Breathe? – What’s that one thing that keeps you up a night? What keeps you moving forward. What does it take to be successful with it? Check this post and video out.
A Romantic First Kiss – Guys… I hear too many woman saying that we’re losing our touch. We need to step it up! Help me show some ladies that there are still some good guys around : )
What can I help you with?
These posts should be a good start to get a feel for who I am and what I want to do. My question is, how can I help you?
What are some things that you want to know or are curious about. Are there topics that you want me to cover or go more into detail with? Travel? Lifestyle Design? Blogging? Motivation?
Please, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email. I respond to every one and would love to hear from you!
